When I got PJ Simon's number I asked my friend if we could make a website for PJ Simon. We agreed to collaborate. She did the website design while I was assigned in the data collection since I already have PJ's number. Although we were able to put up the website, some contents were lacking like links, photos and the Fans' Section. I realized that for months it was empty and no one was joining. So, I thought of ways how to fill that section. I began to invite those people who were connected in PJ Simon's Friendster account. I also posted messages at forums, groups, blog sites, among others to make the clan known. By mid-July Simonatics started to grow in numbers. Then I invited some more people, sent more text messages, posted more invitations in various sites. If the clan reaches 100 in membership, I told myself, I would beseech PJ if he could anoint Simonatics08 as his official fans club. When the clan reached that number, however, I failed to summon enough courage to bring up this matter to him. I lost hope. Eventually, the clan grew even more and it reached 200 in membership. Being official was the foremost in my mind. But before I asked I wanted everything to be in proper order. I resolved to have an election of officers, to have paraphernalia that we can use for the live games, to have a set of activities, etc. Thankfully, it all went well. On April 4, 2008, I formally announced to all club officers and members that SIMONATICS08 will be the official fans club of Peter June Simon as PJ finally given his consent and blessings to it. All of were very joyous and ecstatic that day. But before that, the redesign and development of the new website of PJ had already been started. Although the works were on-going, we kept it under the radar so as not to preempt its launching. It is my fervent hopes and earnest prayers that the club will be more successful. Our membership may not be the biggest but what matters is all of us are loyal, solid and our hearts only beat us one, that is to support our inspiration, Peter June Simon. - REGINE DAPLAS, first Simonatics08 President |

Simonatics08 started as a clan only in June 2007. I never planned to make or build a club or even a clan. What happened was that a friend and I are PBA fanatics and PJ Simon fans.
